I am Linda Houston. I have been working with a variety of clients for over 10 years. I have experience with children, adults and elderly. I have worked inpatient in a hospital, partial programs, wrap around services and outpatient for a variety of mental health issues. I worked as a student supervisor where I was an advisor to current students at Waynesburg University. I am licensed through the State of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor and hold national certification through the National Board for Certified Counselors (www.nbcc.org). I am also a member of the American Counseling Association.
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and I received my Masters of Arts degree from Waynesburg University in Counseling Psychology.
I specialize in working with ADHD, victims of abuse, family conflict, loneliness, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and grief. I am experienced with Cognitive Behavioral approaches as well as Mindfulness and Gestalt Therapy as well as other types of therapy. I have experience with individuals, couples and groups. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy which means I use a therapy that will be most beneficial to my client.
